Sellers are no longer able to advertise paying buyer agent commissions in MLS: There are several large commission lawsuits that have prevailed in Federal courts and are supported by the DOJ ( Department of Justice ). In short, these lawsuits have millions to billions in possible settlement damages and come August 2024 Sellers will no longer be able to market a commission being paid to a buyer’s agent in MLS systems.
